Michael, I've never heard of that happening before. It sounds like a font configuration problem - maybe you have your antialiasing settings turned off in Gnome? It seems unlikely to be a problem with the gtk-qt-engine, but just to be sure could you try using another GTK theme and telling me if i

I'm having the following symptoms (using Edgy): fonts are very poorly rendered in certain GTK2 applications, under KDE. For instance, Gaim and Gnucash are both rendering terrible, jaggy fonts. Firefox, somewhat oddly, seems unaffected and is rendering fonts properly. Would these symptoms also be
