I still get this bug with Feisty (with Eclipse too) ! This bug is said

I'm unable to reproduce your colour problem with a fresh install of Edgy and
the latest gtk-qt engine from svn.
Maybe that bug has been fixed already?

Yet another graphics problem with gtk2-engines-gtk-qt:
On a fresh installed Kubuntu Edgy (final release) gtk apps (tested with
synaptic, gimp and eclipse) have an ugly dark window backgound, while
KDE apps have not. Screenshot attached.

I've never heard of that happening before. It sounds like a font
configuration problem - maybe you have your antialiasing settings turned
off in Gnome?
It seems unlikely to be a problem with the gtk-qt-engine, but just to be
sure could you try using another GTK theme and telling me if i
OK. Gtk-qt isn't so useful while I am on GNOME, so I can wait the
version 0.7 on Ubuntu. :)

I'm having the following symptoms (using Edgy): fonts are very poorly
rendered in certain GTK2 applications, under KDE. For instance, Gaim
and Gnucash are both rendering terrible, jaggy fonts. Firefox, somewhat
oddly, seems unaffected and is rendering fonts properly.
