I think the reason for removing the minimize to tray function is the
integration into the indicator-applet. But I would also prefer an
optionally icon instead.

I think the duplicate status is wrong here. Both are tray problems but
in Gwibber 2.31.1 there is not even an option like Minimize to tray on
close etc. in preferences.
