Public bug reported:

After a long period of shutdown time, when I push enter after I type my
username into the slim username box, the screen goes black and a bunch
of characters show on tty7. I switch to tty1, login, perform an update
if need be, reboot. Then, when I try to do it again, it works fine.

After shutting down, again, for a long period of time (IE: Overnight)
slim does this again.

Can't report a bug to SLIM Project however... so reporting here.
