Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: belpic

I have problems with the use of the be-id middleware provided with my
UBUNTU 10.04 install. These packages are installed:

beid-tools (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
beidgui (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libaudio2 (1.9.2-3)
libbeid2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libbeidlibopensc2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libqt3-mt (3:3.3.8-b-6ubuntu2)
libwxbase2.6-0 (2.6.3.2.2-3ubuntu5)
libwxgtk2.6-0 (2.6.3.2.2-3ubuntu5)
libccid (1.3.11-1)
pcscd (1.5.3-1ubuntu4)

I have uninstalled following packages, as suggested here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1323521

brltty
brltty-x11

All this is installed on a fresh and up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 system with
an Omnikey 1021 card reader and a Belgian e-ID.

Here is the output of some commands I tried after reading further posts
on the ubuntu forums, the README.debian in
/usr/share/doc/libbeidlibopensc2 and some relevant bug reports I found
here and at bugs.debian.org.
