Public bug reported: Binary package hint: belpic
I have problems with the use of the be-id middleware provided with my UBUNTU 10.04 install. These packages are installed: beid-tools (2.6.0-7ubuntu1) beidgui (2.6.0-7ubuntu1) libaudio2 (1.9.2-3) libbeid2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1) libbeidlibopensc2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1) libqt3-mt (3:3.3.8-b-6ubuntu2) libwxbase2.6-0 (2.6.3.2.2-3ubuntu5) libwxgtk2.6-0 (2.6.3.2.2-3ubuntu5) libccid (1.3.11-1) pcscd (1.5.3-1ubuntu4) I have uninstalled following packages, as suggested here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1323521 brltty brltty-x11 All this is installed on a fresh and up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 system with an Omnikey 1021 card reader and a Belgian e-ID. Here is the output of some commands I tried after reading further posts on the ubuntu forums, the README.debian in /usr/share/doc/libbeidlibopensc2 and some relevant bug reports I found here and at bugs.debian.org. w...@wim-desktop:~$ pcsc_scan PC/SC device scanner V 1.4.16 (c) 2001-2009, Ludovic Rousseau <ludovic.rouss...@free.fr> Compiled with PC/SC lite version: 1.5.3 Scanning present readers... 0: OmniKey CardMan 1021 00 00 Tue Mar 23 14:59:18 2010 Reader 0: OmniKey CardMan 1021 00 00 Card state: Card removed, Tue Mar 23 14:59:25 2010 Reader 0: OmniKey CardMan 1021 00 00 Card state: Card inserted, ATR: 3B 98 13 40 0A A5 03 01 01 01 AD 13 11 ATR: 3B 98 13 40 0A A5 03 01 01 01 AD 13 11 + TS = 3B --> Direct Convention + T0 = 98, Y(1): 1001, K: 8 (historical bytes) TA(1) = 13 --> Fi=372, Di=4, 93 cycles/ETU 43010 bits/s at 4 MHz, fMax for Fi = 5 MHz => 53763 bits/s TD(1) = 40 --> Y(i+1) = 0100, Protocol T = 0 ----- TC(2) = 0A --> Work waiting time: 960 x 10 x (Fi/F) + Historical bytes: A5 03 01 01 01 AD 13 11 Category indicator byte: A5 (proprietary format) Possibly identified card (using /usr/share/pcsc/smartcard_list.txt): 3B 98 13 40 0A A5 03 01 01 01 AD 13 11 Belgium Electronic ID card w...@wim-desktop:~$ beid-tool -l Readers known about: Nr.
