I've looked at the devmapper build. The only reason it's using
linux/types.h is for __kernel_dev_t, which is a kernel internal.
The new hdrinstall stuff is strictly enforcing that the headers exported
with glibc are only to be used for general userspace stuff. Anything
that needs to know about
