Public bug reported:

libubuntuone 0.2.101-0ubuntu2 adds a new depends on ubuntuone-client-
gnome which forces the installation of the client. ubuntu-desktop has
ubuntuone-client-gnome as recommends only, thus it used to be possible
to not install the client if one elected to do so. However with the
recent change ubuntuone-client-gnome becomes a mandatory install. Please
allow it to be optional again.
