For Me, kubuntu installer is slow since it new look (9.10?). Can someone
explain me why? Do you use qss to style it or something? In every
machine i've installed is always slow, no matter if i have 4 cores
Phenom and 8gbs of ram...

Downloaded Beta2 burned CD then choosed try and install.
Now installer (I choosed italian again) is faster (read slow but usable) but it

Guys same effect here, Im happy user of kubuntu from 7.04.
I downloaded Luci Lynx beta 1 to give a try on my DELL 530 inspiron (desktop
PC) checked image burned and md5summed the cd without errors.
First try I gave a install without test and system crashed, then I tried test

It appears that the installer works fine in English language. Please
test it on Bulgarian language. Today i`ve tested the installer on
Bulgarian language on another 5 computers and it was working extremely
slow and crashed. In english the installation was succesfull, but the

I`ve done as you asked but I faced another problem. Launchpad asked for
authorization and I have allowed 'apport-collect' to change whatever it
likes, but Launchpad said 'To finish authorizing the application
identified as apport-collect to access Launchpad on your behalf you
should go back to the
Can you please run the installer in debug mode (press "Try Ubuntu" to go
to the desktop, then hit alt-F2 and type `ubiquity -d`)? Run the
install until it crashes and then hit alt-F2 again and type `apport-
collect 546725`. This will provide us with more detailed information on
the crash.
