Feisty (compiz-quinn is now known as beryl), we need to see if your bug
is still present. If you can test the version of compiz in feisty
(1:0.3.3-0ubuntu2~git2006112 or later) and tell us if you bug still

This bug was previously reproducible for me simply by running file-
roller. This would cause an instant X crash. This is no longer occurring
for me with the same versions of xserver-xgl and compiz, so I suspect
that this bug was actually in a different package.

whatever the application does xorg should not restart, if it does that's
not an application bug, either due to xgl or compiz or xorg
