Tollef fixed this bug a few days ago, on upload of libx11
2:1.0.3-0ubuntu3. I was unable to reproduce the error with this version
- but please reopen if the bug still exists for you.

I get the same behaviour when I start xterm with +u8.
xterm -u8 behaves properly however, as does xterm without any command
line options.
Maybe you can use -u8 as a workaround?
