I see no reason why this PostScript printer has pxlmono as the
recommended driver. I am switching it to PostScript on the OpenPrinting
database now. The fix will get into Maverick with the next foomatic-db
package.

Here is a random attachment. It seems to do this for any document I
print. I have confirmed this printing directly from firefox, and from
the attached pdf using evince.
gs usage seems pretty low. I saw it spike to 24% for an instant (as in
one refresh cycle of top) and that was all. The
