Could you please file a new bug - with “ubuntu-bug xorg” on the boot
after you've experienced a crash - for your hard-crash, as you're
clearly experiencing two bugs.
It would be useful if you could attach /var/log/messages to the new bug,
as this will hopefully contain the kernel log for the

Half this report is about a hard crash with the nVidia card, which is not
mentioned at all in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27220
Therefore, I wonder if upstream is working on resolving only the other less
serious issue of video corruption.
