Hi Jonathan,
The software responsible for the removal of other packages is APT, not
evolution.
If it is not being removed that's because either another package still
recomends/depends on it or because it comes flagged as manually installed in
the standard Ubuntu CD.
In neither case the problem i
evolution-common still is built from the evolution source package, so
that was the proper place. Please don't change it.
