When I connect my Canon IXUS 75 Camera via USB, it is no longer automatically detected and offers no options on what to do when it is plugged in. This is what I see in /var/log/messages Apr 7 17:47:25 coppermine kernel: [74572.850030] usb 1-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5 Apr 7 17:47:25 coppermine kernel: [74573.011454] usb 1-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Apr 7 17:47:55 coppermine kernel: [74602.229341] usb 1-4: USB disconnect, address 5 I have used shotwell, and I am able to import the pictures of the camera in PTP mode, but I am unable to see the actual camera in Nautilus, browse the photos or retreive AVI's off the camera.
