I confirm exactly what VIDA wrote a month ago:
I get the same error on Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS with Brasero 2.30.2. The system was
installed just a few days ago from scratch.
I do have gstreamer installed. This was the solution suggested in Question

There is nothing wrong with burning music CDs on both systems using
other software. Just the packages provided in the default

Rhythmbox 0.12.8 also fails to burn audio CDs from playlists - guess it
uses Brasero so this is expected.
I am unable to enable the brasero plugins just like James Schriver 7
months ago. I wonder if there is a work aound?
