Looking at the "undefined reference"s, there seems to be some ABI incompatibility between g++-4.1 and the new gcj-4.1. The missing method names don't include return types. The symbols in libgcj.so.70 (where java::lang::Class::initializeClass is supposed to be), and pdf.a (where the others are) do
