I updated the latest Lucid packages and still see the issue on my desktop
having P4 Processor. On my laptop, which is a Intel-Core2Duo processor based
I don't see this issue.

I used the Crtl+Alt+F1 and Ctrl+Alt+F7 and the cursor appears !!!

I have Intel P4-2.4Ghz CPU, Intel 842GBV motherboard with integrated
graphics, sound card. My monitor is Samsung Syncmaster753S (17" monitor)
I had no problems using 2.6.32-19 generic kernel.
