Public bug reported: I noticed two things wrong with audio playback of ogg files from the web using the Totem plugin in Firefox:
1. Sometimes a blip is played at the start of the sound which is not there in the ogg file 2. When the play button is pressed to hear the sound again, the initial portion of the audio is heard twice As an example of 1., go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium and click on the *first* listen link (the UK version). It sounds like "*blip* aluminium". If you press the play button to repeat the sound it sounds like "ah... aluminium". The second listen link (the US version) demonstrates the second problem again, but not the first problem. The first playback sounds normal, the second one (after pressing the play button) sounds like "ah... aluminum". I'm using the on-board audio of my MSI motherboard: lspci: 00:10.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2) /proc/asound: 0 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia HDA NVidia at 0xf5ff8000 irq 22 This is on Ubuntu Karmic 64-bits with all the latest updates.
