Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: computertemp

Without hddtemp installed and running, the computer temp gnome panel
applet is unusable. It displays a red cross in the panel and the tooltip
reads, "No thermal monitor support".

If I start the hddtemp daemon, the applet works as intended and I can
then switch to using the hwmon sensors, not hddtemp. So, in summary,
even though I have hwmon installed, I am unable to use the computertemp
applet with this package without having also installed the hddtemp
daemon and started it (even though it is not used).

I am using lucid beta 2.
