Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ureadahead

When removing ureadahead using

sudo apt-get purge ureadahead

ubuntu-minimal is removed. Due to this, removing ureadahead will
disallow the user to reboot into ubuntu, and a blinking underscore
cursor will present itself on next boot.

Is this intentional? Because previous ubuntu versions can even remove
sreadahead without problems like this. I don't like ureadahead taking up
all my RAM, and I don't login fast enough to take advantage of
ureadahead anyway.
