Thanks for getting back to me. The current situation is that it says "Song" from "Album" by "Artist". The song will always be by the artist; but if the album is a compilation, it's wrong to say the albumn is by the artist.
My suggestion is to say "Song" by "Artist" from "Album". Then if the albumn is "100 Best Rock Classics Volume 1", you only give Starship credit for "We Built This City" and not for the whole album.
