It first checks if an already-existing account is being loaded, else it
forces the drop-down list to default to Freenode. This is all it does.

@Bilal: what does your patch effectively do? Are you adding a new network to
the list?
We already have "Ubuntu servers" listed in the options. To fix this bug , we
just need to have the "Ubuntu servers" selected as the default option.

I dont really see why Upstream would make this change. They dont use
freenode. Such changes can be done at a distro level.

linked empathy upstream bug report. as empathy developers seemed
interested for changing the default server. attach your patch to the
upstream bug report. I cant as this debdiff contains the packaging stuff
in it too.
