Your problem is not related to h264 encoding. You have to know that the
h264 rendering profile of kdenlive uses :
-h264 for video
-aac for audio
-mp4 for container
Kdenlive renders using ffmpeg ; and even with the unstripped libraries
something is missing : AAC encoder. Since Ubuntu Hardy the
i just do
sudo apt-get install
libavcodec-unstripped-52
libavdevice-unstripped-52
libavfilter-unstripped-0
libavformat-unstripped-52
libavutil-unstripped-49
libpostproc-unstripped-51
libswscale-unstripped-0
but kdenlive just can support mpeg4, not support h264 output
