Public bug reported: The laptop is a Dual boot 9.10 with Windows Vista. I upgraded 9.10 to 10.04 RC with dist-upgrade. After the upgrade, the only grub entry related to Windows was "Windows Recovery Environment", Windows Vista entry is gone. When I select the "Windows Recovery Environment" entry, the system only showed a blank screen. However, after 2-3 tries, Windows Vista boots o.k.
Looks like there are other with similar issue, please refer http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1440855 Since, many folks will use the Update Manager to upgrade to 10.04, this could potentially become an issue. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) => ubuntu -- Upgrade to 10.04 messes up Windows Vista boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569656 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
