Have you tried, and are you able to reproduce this on latest upstream
versions of GhostScript?
Also, could you please provide:
- a sample text file that produces this problem
- the resulting postscript file that hangs gs for you
- the commandline you use to attempt to view the postscript
Please file a bug report on http://bugs.ghostscript.com
if you can reproduce the problem in GS 8.54.
Don't forget to attach all sample files.
