alberto3316, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

The issue was solved two distributions after.
Today I have not problem with the hibernation.
Now I'm using 12.04 LTS release and all is OK.

Actually had it working under 10.04, recently upgraded to 11.04 and just
after to 11.10 and now I am on 11.10 Xubuntu and I can suspend the
machine and it all looks like it goes down correctly, but when I resume

Can't resume after hibernate or suspend (nouveau and
I have Dell Precision M2400 laptop. The graphics card is NVIDIA® Quadro
FX 370M.
I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.4 and removed all nvidia-* packages soon after.
I now have xserver-xorg-video-nouveau and libdrm-nouveau only. Suspend
puts the laptop to sleep. Pressing the power button starts resuming and
I have a Thinkpad X22 with ATI display and a desktop with nVidia
display, both experience problem resuming from suspend or hibernation.
Both systems seem to have successfully suspended/hibernated. Hitting
the button to resume seems to wake up the systems and some HDD
activities are registered

No /etc/X11/xorg.conf is used.
This system used to suspend and hibernate without a problem in 9.10.
