Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python-central
python-central is version 0.6.15ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). I've got a package here, the control file has XS-Python-Version and XB- Python-Version set to Python 2.5, and there is no Python 2.5 in Lucid. When it gets to the "# byte compile with the default runtime for the package" stage of DebPackage.install, it fails with a "None has no attribute byte_compile" sort of error, as self.default_runtime at that point is None. I know the package I'm trying to install is probably a little broken, but I don't think this is the failure mode we want.
