Well, this is still an issue, I'll run the apport-collect command soon. But
I don't know, if it will be any better...

Karesz, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
I've installed ubuntu 11.10 beta-1 on a test partition. Xscreensaver is
no longer pre-installed, but after installing it and xscreensaver-gl, I
find glblur produces approximately 30 fps at a load of 80% and 28 polys.
Quite similar to the result for 10.04 with the xorg-edgers ppa but still
not
On the whole, my computer seems stable enough. It did freeze once using
BZFlag, an arcade tank game. Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-F7, Ctrl-Alt-Del all
did nothing. But I'm not sure that this has never happened using 9.04.
Aside from this, 10.04 with the Xorg-edgers ppa works just fine

I decided to give the xorg-edgers package a test under 10.04. First I installed
all updates, including linux 2.6.32-23-generic. This had no noticable effect on
GLBlur, still around 17 fps. Then I followed the instructions on

This problem still occurs in 10.10 alpha 1. I only tested GLBlur: FPS
15.1, load 84.9, polys 28. This is booting from a live-cd, perhaps that
might affect performance.
10.10 alpha 1 runs fine other than this, and the long standing
hibernate/suspend issue. I did have a problem running the video
I have 10.04 on a test partition with 9.04 as my regular system (9.10
never worked satisfactoryly on this machine). Lucid works fine in most
respects, no problems switching windows or so. But games like BZFlag or
Briquolo don't run smoothly under Lucid, although they run fast enough
under 9.10.
Yup, same here...
Mem: 1801524k total, 1750748k used,50776k free,71616k buffers
Firefox eats around 170m, which I am used to, but it's not fine, that only
100m is free... :( And Xorg uses around 18%cpu

I saw low frame rate on a ATI X1400. Videos are fast though now after

I should confirm this too. As a matter of fact, even when kms is
disabled, the video is somewhat slower than it used to be on koala. For
instance, switching windows is rather sluggish. This last one is
probably related to the the poor memory management.
Well, this issue is nothing compared to the
Well, the above fragment is the kernel log entries in the time system
freeze and when I use REISUB, however, I can see multiple error messages
similar to those elsewhere in the kern.log, again when kms is not
switched off.
