Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Hi, Moving from karmic to lucid, I lost my battery management (in system/preferences/). I only have the AC tab. My battery is not detected at all : cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info present: no modprobe battery FATAL: Module battery not found. I have tried with a liveusb and it is exactly the same thing. If I unplug the AC, battery works. It was fine with karmic Thanks ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-genUser Name 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri May 7 10:34:30 2010 GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No GnomeSessionInhibitors: None GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) MachineType: Packard Bell BV EasyNote MB65 ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-22-genUser Name root=UUID=18453747-926e-4bb6-919c-9b175ac47cdb ro ipv6.disable=1 quiet splash ProcEnviron: LANG=fr_FR.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-power-manager dmi.bios.date: 06/05/2008 dmi.bios.vendor: Phoenix Technologies LTD dmi.bios.version: PB24A07 dmi.board.name: PB2 dmi.board.vendor: Packard Bell BV dmi.board.version: Not Applicable dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag dmi.chassis.type: 1 dmi.chassis.vendor: Packard Bell BV dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnPhoenixTechnologiesLTD:bvrPB24A07:bd06/05/2008:svnPackardBellBV:pnEasyNoteMB65:pvrPC16Q01202:rvnPackardBellBV:rnPB2:rvrNotApplicable:cvnPackardBellBV:ct1:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: EasyNote MB65 dmi.product.version: PC16Q01202 dmi.sys.vendor: Packard Bell BV ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- battery not detected at all on lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576880 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
