Public bug reported: I start GIMP and open a new image. When moving my mouse over the canvas and even outside on the grey area, many small, black dots appear. They are not actually drawn, since they disappear when I click the mouse or resize the window.
A screenshot can be seen here, the black line is drawn, the dots just appears when moving the mouse (no buttons held/pressed). http://devwerner.mopo.no/gimp_phantom.png System: Ubuntu 6.06 LTS AMD64 (uname -r: 2.6.15-26-amd64-generic) Graphics card: nVidia Corporation GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM) (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) I should mention that an similar machine, with the same system, BUT with a slightly diffrent grapichs card do not experience the same problem. That machine has this card: nVidia Corporation NV43 [GeForce 6200] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- GIMP draws phantom dots https://launchpad.net/bugs/57709 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
