Xorg Crashes every time on xorg
i found a temporary solution in ubuntuforums
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=289763
I had to comment the modules glx, dri and the hole DRI section. Now i
can use Openoffice without any problem. Attached is my xorg.conf working
with an 1280x800 external monitor.
** Attachment added:
Same problem on an ASUS M5200N laptop with integrated 855GM. A soon as I
disable the second screen OpenOffice runs fine. I had everything working
fine in ubuntu 6.06, problem only occurred after updating to 6.10.

Xorg Crashes every time on xorg dual-head configuration.
This problem occurs here as well. Xorg with dualscreen and OpenOffice
don't seem to like one another. IBM Thinkpad R52 Intel Integrated 915.
Abit of a pain in the ass, as its nice to have the larger desktop real
estate.
** Attachment added: My xorg.conf
I got the same hardware, too and the same problems.
After Update to edgy eft -X-Server crashes when using dual screen configuration
starting
either an X-session in xfce4 or OpenOffice.
Turning of the second display solves the problem.

I have the same Hardware, similar xorg.conf and the same Problem:
*) wenn using a Simple Screen Configuration:
- suspend Hibernate work fine
- openoffice work fine
*) wenn using a Dual Screen Configuration:
- Trying to Suspend or Hibernate just restarts X
- Launching openoffice also restarts X
This sounds a lot like the bug I reported back in July: 53661
