Serghei Zagorinyak, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
The problem still remains in Ubuntu 10.10 kernel 2.6.35-22-generic.
After a fresh install the system seemed to wake up fine even with
proprietary ATI drivers. But after I installed some additional stuff
like WINE, NetBeans, VMware and so on I got 100% of failed wake-ups. Can
the system be affected
UPD: The system seems to wake fine when using native Ubuntu video
driver. So it must be an ATI problem.

Did not have this problem under Jaunty (and possibly even after upgrading to
Karmic).
At LEAST once a day, my Dell D420 Laptop fails to wake up.
