LSL, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

Nothing happens when I try the key combination. This happens to me on
Arch linux on kernel 2.6.33 as soon as I install the plymouth package
from AUR as well. No key combination nets me anything requiring a hard
reset. Without plymouth installed KMS kicks in no problem, and I don't
have the issue. T

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upst
Running kernel 2.6.34 from the mainline page doesn't give me this same
problem.

I've tried doing ctrl-alt-f1, or any other button mashing, and nothing
happens. The thing is paralyzed when it happens. It seems to be just as
plymouth is attempting to start up. It has been this way all throughout
the lucid testing cycle as well.

I'll try that. My SysRq key on this laptop is a fn+prnt scrn combo
though so I'll see if I can get it to work.
