Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pm-utils

Suspend works only the first time after boot up. After that, subsequent
suspends appear to work, screen goes blank but then wakes up in a few
seconds. Log messages look the same for either successful suspend or
failed suspend with immediate wake up EXCEPT for the free memory. The
used memory goes up and the free memory goes down after each attempt to
suspend. It appears suspend does not release all of its memory image
RAM upon resume and then perhaps appends a new image when suspend is
attempted again.
