No I don't have this option in my fstab. I try to had nomand to be sure, but it

Does your cifs mount have the 'mand' option when you run 'mount'? If so
does removing that option help or setting option nomand?

I am not convinced at all that this bug is a duplicate of bug #486443 since:
*openoffice and OOo version are different
*error messages are totally different
*bug #486443 seems to affect only KDE

Same here on an amd64 system.
I have this bug since I upgraded to lucid about three month ago. I use
pyNeighborhood with the command
sudo mount.cifs
and the parameters
iocharset=utf8,uid=1000,gid=1000
There is no additional output when starting OpenOffice via command line.
