Looks like this means ModemManager doesn't claim the device.
Could you please post the relevant IDs (USB ID from lsusb), and the
exact model if you can find it on the device (or what lsusb reports), so
we can add this in a report on the GNOME bugzilla?
If you could open the upstream bug on GNOME
I should add this is via direct USB for when I want to use it while
charging.
/dev/ttyUSB0 exists and responds to AT commands, but Network Manager
ignores it.
