thank you for your bug report, the tone you are using and calling others
work destructive is not correct though, it's early in the unstable cycle
and those changes need testing, you should be running lucid if you need
a stable installation there

*Just download the source with apt-get source gtk+2.0.
*Remove the diff and dsc file
*cd to debian/patches and edit the series file. Comment patch 064 with a # at
the beginning.

This really is just about shutting down a lot of boxes. There is no
sense it booting up an OS where most of the most used apps will not run
correctly.
I am pretty lucky in that enabling effects, which I absolutely hate,
does make the system run.

forcing the previous libgtk2.20.0-0ubuntu4(lucid) wants to remove MANY
packages . please fix soonest .
