I don't have a problem with the Freenode edit window as described in the
original report, but the Settings > Preferences window cannot be
resized, has no scrollbar, and does not entirely fit on my screen. I
initially assumed the settings were automagically saved because it
seemed there was no Save
I don't know what is the GNOME usability guideline about minimum display
resolutions, but this window measures ~660px. Most netbook screens have
about 1024px width x 600px height, so this clearly will not fit.
Designing this window in a more horizontal organization will certainly
improve usability
