Well, it only works with "ifconfig". I modified the configuration
manually, and then I used "ifdown eth0" and "ifup eth0" to use the
config. that I wrote manually, and worked fine, but on the graphic
interface it didn't show the gateway, althought the Internet connection
was working OK.

static, the gateway setting disapears.
