Ths bug 588082 has been fixed in the release of 13.10 Ubuntu
3.11.0-11-generic. I reported this bug some time ago and have tested the
bug with the daily release of Ubuntu dated October 06, 2013 and find the
bug is no longer present.

an AC Powered External High Speed USB Hub and connect all my

any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development

Have you tried an external hub? I found that running my misbehaving usb
devices through an external hub alleviates the problem. I have been
using the hub for almost 2 weeks and it hasn't failed once.

Just an extra comment : I dual boot this computer into Ubuntu and
Windows XP SP3. In Windows XP SP3 the USB devices function normally no
matter how many times I move the USB Wireless receiver while logged in.

I have an Epson 1640su scanner with usb1.1 and when plugged into high
speed usb on computer it will stop functioning on resolution scans
unless I plug it into the External Hub High Speed Hub and then it
performs perfectly.
