Can reproduce this problem on Quantal (3.5.0-23) as well, so I think
this report needs to be reopened...

I have this problem with the latest daily live cd on my netbook. Also
note that in Lucid the rt3090sta driver was used, but now rt2800usb and
rt2870sta are loaded (I don't have a usb version).

Oh that would of been nice to know for the last kernel bug I worked on.
But I have just tested that current 2.6.35-rc1 and the bug is not
present there.
