Public bug reported: Hi everyone
I am in a trouble with my internet connection on Edgy knot2 (the same was already buggy with knot1). The default DHCP does not work at all : host unreachable. When I configure a fix IP and when I give my rooter as DNS, I am able to solve ip (host contacted; wait for reply), but I never get any responses. I only experience the problem at home : the same laptop et university get the connection on the liveCD without problem. Here are some techical descriptions : [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# dhclient eth0 There is already a pid file /var/run/dhclient.pid with pid 134993416 Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Client V3.0.4 Copyright 2004-2006 Internet Systems Consortium. But after retry the DHCP, I never got it again. So it is not *impossible* but it is highy unreproducible (however the bug is reproducible !).
