Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. A new version of Nautilus is available on Maverick and we
are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version?
Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Well now this seems to be more of a GNOME issue than Ubuntu or Nautilus.
I installed KDE Plasma yesterday, and URLs open fine. Drives are auto-
mounting fine. Only issue I've noticed is that I still can't open my
Trash. That's it.

the issue seems a local issue rather than a nautilus bug

Hey guys, I'd really like to get this fixed. It's not been working for

OK. I'm still at a loss as to what could be causing this, because when
I put a CD in earlier I had to use Disk Utility to mount it, it didn't
auto-mount.

could you list the updates you had the day you got the issue? you can
get the list in /var/log/dpkg.log, could you run dpkg -l | grep gvfs
and copy the log there?

Actually, more updates were available the next day, June 4th, and I ran
those, so I don't know if that would mess up that log or not,

Ok, here are the steps I took.
1. SSH'ed to computer from school on June 3rd, 2010, noticed that Ubuntu had 9
security updates available.
2. Ran sudo apt-get update then sudo apt-get upgrade
3. Noticed that a new version of linux-image and linux-headers were available.
4. Waited for updates
