Public bug reported:

When the last update with update-manager finish I receive this error
message:

Configuring linux-image-2.6.32-22-generic (2.6.32-22.36) ...
Running depmod.
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-22-generic
ERROR lilo fails for new /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-22-generic:

Warning: LBA32 addressing assumed
Unrecognized token "splash" at or above line 116 in file '/etc/lilo.conf'
Failed to create initrd image.

And the dpkg stop with error code 2.

After this error, in lilo menu I can only start with LinuxOLD option.
When I try to boot with the new kernel, LILO stops in "Loading Linux"
screen.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64, with LILO in a Compaq CQ42BR notebook
