The wacom errors are harmless and irrelevant.
This looks like it was just unsupported hardware. Can you please test
against Feisty or newer, and let us know if it works or not?

How comfortable are you with editing configuration files?
Your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file has references to /dev/wacom (tablet PC
stuff). It used to be that these lines were mostly harmless... perhaps
this has changed.
You could remove the wacom lines and let us know wha
