I am no longer able to reproduce this on an up-to-date lucid
installation
$ uname -a

Confirmed on an up-to-date 10.04 1386 install. I noticed this behaviour
it is not *only* "sun java 6.0 plugin", it appears to be for all sun
java related packages.
$ uname -a
Linux yoda 2.6.32-22-generic-pae #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 23:14:23 UTC 2010

$ apt-cache policy software-ce
