Clock applet

When using the clock applet with Gnome-Panel on Ubuntu 10.04 (recent
upgrade pushed), the gnome-panel slows loading of the machine to 1 to
1.5 minutes.  If you remove the clock applet the speed returns to
normal.  When adding the clock applet back in to the panel it takes it
roughly 30 - 1 minute to sync correctly.
