You can probably check this using a Maverick Live CD. Also, installing
using KVM is inside a chroot. I also test using VirtualBox, which lets
me run any version in a protected environment. I just delete or
reinstall for the next thing I want to test, so I have a fresh install
to test things in.
Thank you for a very fast response to an important issue for users. I
have tested this again in Maverick Meerkat, the current Ubuntu
development version, and found it to be fixed as of 2010-08-14.
