Happens to me too. Natty. Difference is when it renders, it just goes
beyond the clip, and then the time starts to display negative values.
The file keeps growing. Tried mp4, ogg - same problem.

Actually, earlier on in Maverick testing, this bug was fixed, and I was
able to render. The rendering had lot's of glitches, but it did work.
Now it just freezes up, and running on the cli, I saw this gstreamer
error:
ERROR [ 3739] [0x -488d2940] Pipeline at 0xabb56acpipeline
Daniel, can you re-test with 0.13.5 ?

I tried the ppa packages with lucid pitivi, and they didn't help. I
tried git pitivi, and it crashed when importing my project. I tried to
switch to mp4 by switching to ffmeg_mp4, but that didn't help. There
was a hint to use a different mp4, but I couldn't find that. I tried to
switch to the
I can confirm this same error, rendering to ogg/theora with default
settings. It begins by rendering fine, counting down from about 15
minutes, then at about 3+ minutes left, the progress bar stops, the bar
on the timeline stops moving, and the time remaining starts counting up.
The output file
Switching to MP4 encoding works for me, btw.
