Feel free to close this bug out.. It is a bit out of date and PowerPC has fallen off of the officially supported list, so I don't want this to hold anything up. Cheers! -- edgy knot2 missing vmlinuz-chrp.initrd for pegasos https://launchpad.net/bugs/59607 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bu

Apparently it's a space issue, and nothing more. It needs to be on the CD; removing the Pegasos menu would be bad. -- edgy knot2 missing vmlinuz-chrp.initrd for pegasos https://launchpad.net/bugs/59607 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/lis

Yes, it is not hard to generate a kernel for the CD. I will probably do that and release somewhere later when Edgy is released. But it is easiest for new users to use the DVD. Watson or someone else in the CD Image team, can you remove the Pegasos menu file from the CDs to avoid confusion since we

Well, I don't mind it not being on the cd if there is another place that it is available. If that is the case they should at least remove the menu from the cd. :) I did try the alternative cd and it didn't boot up, so maybe I'll try the DVD. Thanks! -C -- Corey Shields - OSU Open Source Lab

I have reported a similar bug earlier and talked to Colin Watson about it, but he told me there is not enough space on the CD to include the vmlinuz-chrp.initrd kernel. I would really love to see a kernel that can boot on the Pegasos on the CDs but it seems like a hard task to convince them ;) For
