Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I am running Firefox 3.0.19 on Ubuntu 8.04.
At some point I installed Flash Player 9.
Since some Flash player application wouldn't run with version 9, I tried to
install version 10. Installation went well, but when trying to run said flash
player application in Firefox 3.0.19, it says it is running Flash player 9.
Synaptic Package Manager reports Adobe-flashplugin version 10.1.53.64-1 as the
one being installed, and no other version.
it looks like somehow it is still version 9 that is running.
I tried installing Flash player with Firefox NOT running, I trying rebooting...
I tried to do a complete removal of Flash player, and then a re-install.
Nothing seems to help. It is still running flash player 9.
